While anyone living in Haiti is no stranger to suffering… this year has been an unusually tough year for our lead Pastor Occius Charles, his sweet wife Mytana and family.

Occius experiences all the chaos and uncertainty, and lack of basic necessities that is life in Haiti, while simultaneously mentoring our Pastors, shepherding congregations, leading evangelistic efforts, handling most of our logistics, overseeing operations at two schools, and offering hope to those who are destitute.

This year the escalating violence forced Occius to move his family from their home, and a few months later again surrounded by violence and constant gun-fire right outside their relatives home where they were staying, he had to move them again. This time we relocated him to CapHaitian where it has been much safer so far. This added dangerous travel and increased expenses to an already difficult life. 

As if all of this wasn't enough... We received word from Occius that his oldest son Danly had passed just before the final relocation. Danly was a mere 42 years old when he passed, shocking his parents, son, family and friends. Please remember Occius and his Family in prayer as they grieve Danly's passing, and continue HIS work in Haiti.
